Air purifiers can be a sight for sore eyes… but they don’t have to be.
In This Edit
Let’s be honest—most air purifiers aren’t exactly known for their good looks. They’re usually large white boxes that quietly do their job while you try to pretend they aren’t sitting in the middle of your living room.
Thankfully, that’s starting to change.
If an air purifier is going to earn a permanent place in my home, I want it to look intentional—not like something I need to hide behind a plant. These are a few of the prettiest designs I’ve found that prove clean air and good design can absolutely live together.
What I Look For
When choosing an air purifier, I tend to look for a few things beyond filtration.
- Materials that feel warm, like wood or soft fabric.
- Clean, minimal shapes that blend into a room.
- Neutral colors that work with different styles.
- A design I’d actually leave out instead of tucking into a corner.
My Favorite Picks
Klarta

A warm wood front gives this one more of a modern speaker vibe than a traditional appliance. It works beautifully in Scandinavian, Japandi, or mid-century spaces.
Windmill

One of my favorites. The fluted wood front makes it feel more like a piece of furniture than an air purifier.
Canopy

Simple, compact, and clean. If you prefer minimal spaces, this is an easy one to work into almost any room.
Blueair Blue Signature

Wrapped in soft fabric with subtle wooden legs, this one feels calm and understated while still making a statement.
ArborFlow

Probably the most unique design of the group. It almost looks like a decorative lantern and would fit beautifully into a cozy reading nook or spa-inspired room.
Design Tip
If you’re trying to make an appliance disappear, placing it next to wood furniture, plants, or woven textures helps it feel like part of the room instead of something that was simply added later.
Good design doesn’t stop at furniture. Even everyday appliances deserve a little consideration, especially when they’re going to live in your home for years. These are the air purifiers that caught my eye because they prove function doesn’t have to come at the expense of style.
✨ Why It’s in The Ali Edit
Most air purifiers solve one problem while creating another—they clean the air but often clash with the room. Every purifier in this collection was chosen because it brings together thoughtful design and everyday function.
